In November 2023, the XI Bioethics Conference of Clínica Colsanitas was held. Within the framework of this event, the presentation was made: VIABILITY LIMITS IN NEONATES AND BIOETHICAL CONFLICTS. From this intervention, the following document emerges, which has to do with the beginning of life, the viability limit of newborns. November 17 is the international day of prematurity, it is a topic of vital importance if one takes into account that the World Health Organization (WHO) (2023) concluded that in the last decade 1,520,000,000 were born, that is, 1 in 10 births in the world are premature and, most alarmingly, every 40 seconds one of them dies worldwide. This conference shows the importance of health teams in Neonatal Units at the time of decision-making from bioethics, from the Colombian and global context at the limit of viability.
