Abstract
Primary eosinophilic gastrointestinal disease are uncommon, include disease from the esophagus to the rectum. This diseases have a lot of differential diagnosis which could simulate them. Eosinophilic gastroenteritis have good prognosis since the patient receive optimal treatment. We present the case of 29 years women with symptoms of chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain, with important peripheral blood eosinophil count. The patient came on endoscopy studies with biopsy taken at ileal and colonic mucosa. The pathology shows at the level of ileum and right colon, inflammatory infiltrate of eosinophils with histological diagnosis of eosinophilic gastroenteritis. The patient resolves their symptoms after steroid treatment. We present the case an review of this disease.
