Abstract
An extremely rare case of adnexal auto-amputation evidenced during laparoscopy is reported in a patient with a diagnosis of an ovarian mass. Histological analysis of the mass removed indicated changes due to extensive torsion preventing the visualization of the ovarian parenchyma. Macroscopically, the cyst looks benign. Finally, a subsequent literature review was carried out.
