Abstract
Introduction: Worldwide general population vaccination intent against COVID-19 is 73%. In Colombia the intent is 55,8%. Objective: The purpose of the study is to determine the vaccination intent against COVID-19 amongst healthcare workers in Colombia. Methods: A cross-sectional study through an electronic survey between January 1 and February 15, 2021 in healthcare workers in Colombia. Results: 338 subjects were included: 79,58% physicians, 62,13% women, mean age 40(SD +/- 13) years, mean work experience 14(SD +/- 11) years, 58.28% working in the private sector and 98% with information about the vaccines. The perception of efficacy and safety of the vaccines was 71,3% and 75,44% respectively, with an intent of 82,25% to vaccinate against COVID-19. Conclusion: There is a high intent of vaccination against COVID-19 among healthcare workers in Colombia. We hope this will encourage the general population to vaccinate when biologics are available.
