Abstract
Background: Vaccines are an important preventive measure against COVID-19. More than 75% of health care workers have a vaccination intention with the initial dose and consider the vaccines safe and efficacious. Aim: To explore the booster vaccination intention against COVID-19 amongst health care workers in Colombia. Methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study using a digital survey. A ten-question survey characterizing the participants, perceive safety and efficacy of vaccines, and booster vaccination intention against COVID-19. Results: 141 subjects, median age 40 years, 57% women, 85% physicians, with a mean working experience of 14 years and 59% attending patients. 95% perceived the vaccines as safe and efficacious, 93% with booster vaccination intention. Conclusions: Booster vaccination intention against COVID-19 in health care workers in Colombia is high and is in directly related to the perceived safety and efficacy of the vaccines.
