Abstract
The timely diaper change of the newborn is a nursing intervention that promotes well-being and contributes to the protection and maintenance of skin integrity. As a frequent intervention in the neonatal unit, it should be performed to promote the baby's well-being and reduce the complications resulting from improper practices. Literature review identified that the newborn's adaptive responses during diaper changing can vary depending on the technique employed for the procedure.
