Abstract
CINVEN uses a continuous and ascending learning curve which is directed to health professionals. It is used in the acquisition of visual and motor skills using surgical simulators in techniques applied to minimal invasion surgery. The aim of this study was to standardize contents, structure and methodology for the basic course of training in skills for endoscopical surgery. Materials and methods: an evaluation committee was integrated by a group of experts with high experience in minimal invasive surgery, including professionals from various medico-surgical specialties, all of whom assessed objectives, methodology and contents proposed for the basic course of training in skills for endoscopical surgery. Results: standardization of the program allowed a detailed and argumentative definition of the objectives, contents, criteria and methodology for the course. The course implies a variety of exercises for each of the practical and theoretical modules stablished in it. Discussion: standardization of the basic course of training in skills for endoscopical surgery is a step to guarantee a methodology which responds to high quality standards according to surgeons in training needs.
