Resumen
A lo largo de la historia se han usado varios métodos para el transporte intracorporal de contrabando de droga a través de las fronteras entre países. El “Body packing” se describió por primera vez en 1973 y se refiere al ocultamiento intracorpóreo de drogas ilegales, las cuales son ingeridas o colocadas en cavidades anatómicas u orificios corporales. El diagnóstico se establece con base en el perfilamiento legal, una historia clínica sugestiva, signos en el examen físico y hallazgos en imágenes diagnósticas. Se presenta el caso de una mujer que ingresó a urgencias en un hospital de tercer nivel en Bogotá con sospecha de transporte intracorporal de contrabando. Dentro de los estudios de imagen diagnóstica (radiografía de fémur bilateral) se evidenció que transportaba la droga a nivel de sus muslos por lo que se tuvo que intervenir quirúrgicamente. Es fundamental reconocer esta nueva forma de transporte ilegal de contrabando para poder sospecharlo y hacer un correcto abordaje clínico.
